Kaffe Fassett, known for his bold and vivid sense of color, has an incredibly loyal following in the international knitting, needlecraft, and quilting worlds. Described as one of the foremost experts on the subject of color in design, Fassett wows audiences with an almost evangelical way of speaking about how craft impacts one's life and influences creativity.
This lecture is designed to inspire and motivate. The power point presentation will highlight works from his latest projects - these will include his knitting, patchwork quilt, needlepoint, mosaic and painting designs. A tremendous amount of Fassett's inspiration comes from the past and his lecture is designed not so much to instruct, but to empower and inspire the audience to create their "mind's eye". Audiences leave invigorated - entranced by Fassett's use of color. They are ready to try it themselves, and are encouraged to do so. The slide show lasts approximately 45 minutes followed by a question and answer session and book signing. Picture taking is encouraged.
Fassett will also be giving a workshop at Sunshine Sewing on Sunday, October 19th and October 21, from 10 am - 4 pm entitled "Diamond Designs from Kaleidoscope of Quilts". Both workshops are sold out.
Interested persons should call Sunshine Sewing at 954-971-4810 to register. Richard Nicoll
I just found your blog today because I am trying to find other places than JoAnn Fabrics to purchase yarn at because the one in my home town has really POOR customer service. And unfortunately, Michaels doesn't carry the style of yarn I want from Lionbrand. Thanks for having a site like this. I didn't realize that Lionbrand has a store locator. I would love to know about the locations of more yarn/knitting stores in Florida. Most don't seem to have web sites. Thank you! I at least appreciate what you were trying to accomplish with this site. Best regards, Lori
